Liverpool suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Manchester City last time out, ending their unbeaten start to the season.

They bounced back with a 6-3 victory over Austrian side LASK in the UEFA Champions League , but Brentford are expected to pose a sterner test.

The Bees remain unbeaten in the competition, although they have won just two league games and are one point clear of Liverpool.

The Reds have scored just seven league goals. They rank ninth for expected goals (xG) and have created just nine big chances—the joint-fewest in the division—highlighting their struggles in the final third.

Liverpool need a massive improvement in the final third to boost their chances of beating Brentford, who are one of the most organised sides in the Premier League.

Following their impressive performances against LASK , Bradley Barcola and Florian Wirtz may need to be at their brilliant best to break down the hosts.
